Year in Industry
Year in Industry is a national scheme, which matches students with companies for paid, 12-month, degree relevant work placements in the gap year before or during their degree course. Students earn a real salary (£8K- £13K) while gaining the skills and experiences to maximise their degree and employment prospects. It's also a great opportunity to increase chances of university sponsorship. In 2002 26% of students who took part went on to gain a first class honours degree, over twice the national average.
