Radar Project Manager
Annie manages projects for a company that develops radars for fighter jets.
She took German, maths and physics for her advanced Highers before studying electronic engineering at university. "I needed physics to get on to my engineering degree, which lead directly to the job I do now as I did a placement with the company I now work for as part of my degree,"says Annie. While people skills are an important part of her job, Annie's physics training is just as useful. "I coordinate people from lots of different backgrounds to make sure things are completed on time and on budget. Physics really helps you understand technology, so I guess I'd look pretty clueless when discussing radars with our scientists and engineers without it!"Back
